Uptown Theater Rules
You can maximize your enjoyment of the show and avoid any issues with Uptown Theater security by following the rules below. If a specific event allows for items listed below, it will be noted in the show description. If you have any questions, you can contact Uptown Theater at (816) 753-8665
Accessibility Policy
The Uptown Theater is proud to be as accessibility friendly as possible for major events venues. To request accommodations or to ask how the venue staff can help you, please contact the venue at (816) 753-8665. Be sure to leave detailed information regarding your planned upcoming visit including date of the visit.
If you require emergency accommodations including accessible seating, please call the venue as soon as possible. Please note that if accessible seating is available it may be available on a first come first serve basis.
Camera Policy
Typically Uptown Theater does not allow professional cameras, cameras with removable lenses, or tablets such as iPads. Additional restrictions are sometimes placed by the artists, so please call the Uptown Box Office with questions regarding specific shows.

General Admission Policy
All General Admission events are strictly on a first-come first-served basis.
There is open standing room near the stage as well as fixed seats at the back of the theater and in the balcony. If you absolutely must pick your spot, get to the show early. Doors typically open an hour before the show event. Please note that if you move from your spot before or during the show, you may lose it.
You may notice that your GA ticket has numbers appearing in the “row” and “seating” lines on the ticket. These numbers do not represent a specific seat, as they are used for Ticketmaster’s tracking purposes only.
Lost and Found Policy
If you find a lost item, please give it to event staff and they will take it to Lost and Found for you. If you lose an item during a show, you can check with event staff for assistance. Or you may call Uptown Theater at (816) 753-8665 to inquire about a lost item. Please be sure to leave a detailed description of your item and complete contact information.

Mask Policy

Prohibited Items
Please be aware that the following items are not allowed in the Uptown Theater. If you have these items, you should leave them in your vehicle.
- Outside food or drinks
- Weapons of any type, including concealed firearms
- Professional camera equipment or recording devices
- iPads, tablets, selfie sticks, Go Pro cameras
- Flashlights, glow sticks, laser pointers
- Large bags or backpacks
- Signs, banners, flags, etc.
These could be subject to change per the artist request.
The Uptown reserves the right to search anyone, and their belongings, who enter the premises.
Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final and no refunds will be given. If an event is canceled or rescheduled you may call the venue at (816) 753-8665 with any questions.
Smoking Rules
The Uptown is a completely non-smoking venue, including the use of vapor and electronic cigarettes. There is a smoking exit located south of the main bar inside the theater. You may use that door only to enter/exit the smoking area. There is no re-entry from the main entrance by the box office.
